Michael Guertin, MBA
Co-Owner of Project M Accounting
Michael is an experienced accounting and financial operations professional with a strong background in reconciliation, expense control, and process improvement. As Co‑Owner of Project M Accounting, he provides comprehensive accounting services to small businesses, combining technical expertise with a practical, client‑focused approach.
Michael brings a strong blend of financial analysis, audit oversight, and operational leadership developed through different professional roles. He has led teams, managed enterprise‑level financial programs, and supported month‑end close, forecasting, and executive reporting functions.
His background includes supervising financial analysts, guiding cross‑functional training efforts, and driving enhancements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. Michael also has hands‑on experience in cash management, inventory oversight, and business operations.
He holds an MBA with a Project Management certificate from Nichols College and a BBA in Accounting from Worcester State University. Michael is an Eagle Scout with a long history of volunteer service.
Matt Vandal
Co-Owner of Project M Accounting
Matt is a finance professional with a background in both small business, and large corporation accounting. With a focus in business planning, Matt enjoys working closely with clients on how to improve their daily processes and strategize for the future.
After graduating from UMass Dartmouth with a degree in accounting, Matt started to work directly with several local companies to manage their finances and business operations. This has provided Matt with valuable experience in areas such as tax prep, auditing, and strong hiring practices.
After starting Project M Accounting, Matt has continued his career with an international company that has allowed for a broader focus with leading teams and financial analysis. Matts' main goal for all of our clients is to ensure a successful and comfortable path for the future.
